Raining

It has not rained in a long time. It has been kinda hot around here lately. In fact we are in a 4 year drought. Times are tough and there is strict water rationing. On top of that, our summer has been H O T.

Today it rained. Not drought breaking rain, but enough to get wet in, to feel that damp cool, to lick your face and relish the water in the air.

W E T at last

The dust washed from trees and buildings.

The earth sucked it up greedily.

Rainbow

I danced with joy. Rain is so life-giving.

I am THRILLED by it all! The rain was lovely over here, but I know you needed it even more than we did.

Love the rainbow of hope. Hope it stays like this for a little longer…

It really is quite gorgeous, isn’t it? And I usually hate cold and wet weather…..

Hi Sandra, you cannot believe how wonderful it was to see a rainbow. I had not seen one for a long long time.
