The beautiful Helen at World Foodie Guide has given me the Artey Pico Award. Helen, thank you so much. These awards give such wonderful feedback and appreciation to what, after all, can be a lonely occupation at times. And a lot of hard work. Helen has been a long time supporter of my blog and it means a lot to me that she has passed this award on to me.
As far as I can gather, the Artey Pico award was started by a blog, called – wait for it – Artey Pico. Artey Pico is in Spanish, but if you don’t speak Spanish, you can read it using the Google translator.
The rules of the award are as follows:
Arty Pico Rules:
- You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award, creativity, design, interesting material, and also contrubutes to the blogger community, no matter the language.
- Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
- Each award-winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the ward.
- Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link to Arte y pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
- To show these rules.
And the winners are:
I am going to take this opportunity to award not only food bloggers, but also some non food bloggers that I visit.
- Arundathi from My Food Blog. She never fails to inspire me with her wonderful Indian food, and has supported this blog with her lovely comments and insights. Thank you Arundathi.
- Amazing Trips, simply for her wonderful and hilarious writings about taking a set of triplets about 2 years old, PLUS a 1 year old, out of the house. And she works as well! I can’t image being you, Amazing Trips, and managing all that you do. You inspire me with every post.
- Alexander from Primitive Culture, for his wonderful ethnographic photographs from SE Asia and South Africa (and other places around the world). He always makes me want to hop a plane immediately.
- Shula and Mym, from Poppalina, who make wonderful things from fabric and yarn, and have such an artistic sense that I love visiting their blog even tho I no longer sew. I just realised today that they are from Australia, too. Go girls!
- The Scent of Water, for her exquisite photograps and different views on life as it is lived day to day.
And one for luck!
- I love to photograph people. But it is a hard thing to do. Just yesterday I was asked to delete a photograph that I had taken, where the person in question was just a speck in the corner of it. But the Sartorialist does it every day. His passion is fashion, and the raison d’etre for his blog. He is not going to be interested in this award no doubt, but I did want you to have a look at his fabulous work.
