Spiced tea is always intensely interesting. Do try it. This is a take on a similar tea served in India. It is very special both with and without the optional black tea.

Revitalising Cardamon, Cinnamon and Clove Tea
half a dozen cardamon pods, crushed
1 cm or so cinnamon stick
half a dozen cloves, crushed
1 tspn or so jaggery or brown sugar, up to 1 tablespoon if you are a sweet tooth
1 good pinch or so black tea (optional)
2 – 3 cups boiling water
Combine the ingredients and let seep in boiling water for 8 minutes. Drink as a revitalizer, to relieve intestinal distension and to cleanse the blood.
