Mashed Parsnips with Olive Oil and Parmesan

What comfort our list of go-to recipes bring us. In the Five Dishes series we are bringing you some of our most love dishes. We explore our recipes, some of them going back decades.

Today I am bringing five of my favourite dishes of Winter. I do hope you enjoy them.

You can also browse all of our Winter dishes – ones for Early Winter, Mid Winter and Late Winter.

Babaganoush

In my mind, as good as hummus, Babaganoush is spectacular when layered with toppings. There are so many you can choose from.

Mashed Parsnips with Olive Oil and Parmesan

When comfort food is needed in Winter, this is the ultimate. You can even braise some leeks and toss them through the mash.

Fagioli Stufati | Tuscan Beans Baked with Sage and Lemon

This beautiful Tuscan dish is a no-fuss, easy cook dish – it takes time for the soaking of the beans and a 2-hour baking time, but there is little to do. The result is a bowl of creamy beans flavoured with herbs. Use lima (butter) beans, or cannelini beans. Black eyed beans can also be used.

A gorgeous and relaxing tea, straight from India made just from spices and saffron.
